Special guests had an opportunity to preview La Moderna Miami, a new bar/restaurant in Sunset Harbour, which combines modern Italian classic from la cucina (the kitchen), skillfully-crafted cocktails and Neapolitan-style pizza, served in a sophisticated and lively space, with more than a touch of Italian flare. La Moderna’s original location is in the trendy Testaccio neighborhood in Rome. The evening, which was hosted by owner Luca D’Angelo, showcased the talents of renown European bartenders Valentino Longo and Rusty Cerven. The duo wowed attendees with their drink-mixing skills while delicious crudos were served from the kitchen of Chef Manuel Lanni.

Miami Beach Mayor Philip Levine attended the preview and was seen mingling with Miami Beach residents and business leaders. International Lawyer Genilde Guerra was seen enjoying the tasty bites and admiring the space, a contemporary interpretation of a mechanical workshop, designed by award-winning Italian architect Roberto Liorni. It includes a meticulously crafted copper bar and extensive millwork that was fabricated in Italy. Scott Robins, the developer of Sunset Harbour Shops, was on hand beaming with pride over how his retail center has quickly become Miami Beach’s restaurant mecca.
